Casey's is my go to place to start/end any Saturday night. I have been going to this bar for years, it is so down to Earth and has an incredible 'home' feeling. Casey's is Walled Lakes must go to hole in the wall bar. Plus, this place has AMAZING sushi, I'm not kidding. I know it is super random for an Irish Pub to serve sushi but it's working! Not only can you get great bar food but you wont be disappointed in any sushi selection either. Don't even get me started on the St. Patrick's Day party they throw at this place. Complete insanity! I went to Casey's this past St. Patrick's Day and it was body to body packed all night. So much fun! The next time you are in Walled Lake stop in for a beer, your wont be disappointed.

Love this place! I've been going here for years. It has the best of everything. Just looking for a quick burger? Casey's has it, and it's FANTASTIC. Looking for a fresh salad or tasty sushi? Casey's has that too! Everything on the menu is worth trying. I keep going back for the sushi, so delicious. This is a great place to gather with friends over drinks and catch up. They have a full bar with specials every day. The patio offers a great oasis for drinks and dinner. I would highly recommend Casey's to anyone. They have so many choices to satisfy everyone in your group!

We will definitely go back! The buffalo chicken pizza we had there was the best, no wait, good service, cozy atmosphere!

Very busy on trivia night. Loved the sushi selections. Lots to try in the coming weeks.

The first time I went to this place I found hair in my food, they didn't offer me anything else to eat and didn't take it off my bill. Giving it a second chance I ate there again and the food was nasty. It was bad service and below average food and I had something floating in my water. Over all will not be eating there again...

What happened to this place? Stopped in after giving it a haiadis and now it seems like it's now going downhill. Great beer selection... Great burgers... Not the greatest service and sushi needs work. Waited 30 minutes for a burger and chicken parm, but 45 for the sushi.(we were 4 of about 16 other people dining...) Food was a bit colder than normal and the sushi was more like a rice log with some soggy tempura in it. Management needs to step back in and start running that place like it was about two years ago. Unfortunately, it will be a while before we go back again.

This is not the only dive bar in Walled Lake, but it might be the only Japanese Sushi bar/Irish Pub joint in the metro Detroit area. They have a full sushi bar on one side of the bar, a full Irish sports bar on the other side, and a real nice large heated and cover outside patio. It's a small place, and it can get loud inside, so we prefer the outside patio, unless there are smokers sneaking a smoke. They have a large menu, 8 pages full, from sushi to bar food. A full page of appetitizers, sandwiches and burgers, and a number of salads and entrees - extremely ecellective. Prices are reasonable. It's a full bar, with a number of drink specials, from beer of the month to happy hour to sport event specials. And they have cider on tap! The sandwiches are served with homemade chips, but you can get a number of fried potato options. The salads are generous. The wait staff are young but friendly.

Came here for a Memorial Day brunch and I was very happy with the results!! We got to sit outside next to the fountain. Sushi was very delicious!! The wait was a tad long but then again it is a holiday. It was all worth it when we got to eat our delicious food!

Trivia Thursdays are a great time!! The hubs and I are definitely regulars at Caseys. Over the past 3 years, we've gone to Casey's at least 2 or 3 times a month. Drink specials are good, food is always tasty & the burgers are the way to go. They do offer catering services & Casey himself does exist ;) If you're in the area, this is a must!!

Been here a few times. Definitely on the dive bar side but I really wanted to like this place because of their craft beer selection, keno, live music, and trivia. However the trivia isnt done very well, the staff isnt very friendly AT ALL, the food is hit or miss, and every time Ive gone there are people who have been seriously over served and are extremely drunk - even mid afternoon. Out of the few times Ive been theres always been some kind of drama. If youre looking for a fun night in the area there are far better options.

Great sushi- recommend the flying dragon. Draft beer not so good, dirty taps. But love the sushi.
(5)Jonathon Y.
Irish pub & sushi joint...that serves Mexican food...now that's a novel idea! Great environment, tasty food, and a great beer menu with mostly Michigan brews on tap. Yeah, great place to unwind with a menu that crosses the globe! Definitely giving two thumbs up to Casey's!

Food is great. The Sushi is better! Menu is huge. Great bar and place to dine at. Different specials every night and the staff is always friendly. What more could you ask for.

I love this place! The food is always really good...great burgers! Typically go for dinner but lunch is good too. I'm pretty much a regular and been going there for years, however. Now, the staff is so unfriendly and even rude to the point where they snap at you for asking normal questions. There are maybe 2 servers who know how to talk to people and do their job in a timely fashion and correctly. I mean if you hate your job, quit. Because it shows when your miserable. My boyfriend and I sat up at the bar not because we wanted to but because we get the same waitress every time were there and she is so incredibly rude to us and we didn't want to get her attitude or her crappy "service". The bar tender was just as unfriendly as her. We didn't order anything, ended up leaving and going somewhere else just because of the awful service. The other bartender named Kristen is very good and personable and I love getting her because she actually makes us feel welcome. If this place didn't have good food I'd never go back but because of the horrendous service I'm definitely going a lot less. Clean it up Casey's! Get some good servers who like their job, don't give sass and don't roll their eyes at customers. It's like the servers run the place and makes it very uncomfortable, also wipe down your menus from time to time.

It's fun to be able to order both bar food and/or sushi at the same place--can't say I know of any other place where you can do that! I'd say the food quality is perhaps slightly above average. Their burgers are good, and definitely big, but after a few visits you realize that they are really incredibly greasy. Casey's is probably best for their activities like euchre and trivia nights, for a drink, and for enjoying the quirky atmosphere.
(3)K K.
I would say this is a bar for locals, as I wouldn't recommend anyone make over a 20 minute trip, but as a local I have eaten here over 100 times and dropped thousands on their burgers, fish 'n chips, sushi, and beer. The "outdoor" portion of the bar is ridiculously cute and comfortable, and they pull out all the stops to keep people coming back - trivia night, euchre night, karaoke night, etc. I have always had a good time going there, but be forewarned - don't go to a bar that boasts itself both an Irish pub and Japanese sushi delight and expect to have any right to complain about it.
(3)Meghan W.
Great place to be! We started going there for the trivia nights and now go there any time. Can't beat a place where I can get sushi and my husband can get loaded fries with cheese and bacon! Try the signature drink of the month for 3.99!

I would give a negative number if I could. It took forever to get our food (over 40 minutes from the time we ordered) which the place did not have many patrons in it then as I am eating my hamburger - i take my third bite and there is a long hair cooked right into the burger. I start choking and spitting out my food. After pulling the hair out of my mouth and out of the hamburger we manage to way down our waitress (who was extremely inattentive) she ask if I want another hamburger fixed...uhhhh no...now I don't want to eat anything. she says she is sorry and walks away and has a ten minute conversation with the other two waitresses then comes over and says she will take my dinner off my bill. Really...did you think I was going to pay? My husband orders a piece of cheesecake which takes another 20 minutes to get. Don't you think after the wait for the food, the hair in the food and then the second wait for the food they would have at least comped the cheesecake? No they did not!! Will never ever eat here or recommend!!

What a deference a year makes. Not sure whats going on, stopped in today to eat sushi. Told the waitress I had a gluten allergy. She then said "we don't have anything you can eat." I said, yes you do i eat hear a lot. Pls ask the Chef. She came back and said. Sorry we don't serve any gluten free Sushi. I said well, we can't eat here. I walked up asked the cook, I say cook because no way he's a real chef. "what in your sushi has gluten in it?" The reply was Rice. RICE. So stupid. The guy that said it was not the main Cook, but the main cook was standing there and did nothing. Sorry guys, lost my business. Should have know better to go to a bar for sushi.

Funky old place with a local wagering hole atmosphere. The menu is a fairly strange mix of American, Asian, Mexican and Japanese cuisine. Place was packed but our waitress was great. The only plroblem and the reason I give it 3 stars is that my Chicken Burrito looked and tasted more like a vegetarian Lasagna. Lots of tomato sauce, lots of pasta tasting taco shell, some cheese and little bit of grilled (presumably) chicken that was completely lost inside all of this and didn't contribute to the taste at all, might as well just skipped it. Also no refried beans or any typical Mexican sides, just a sea of hot tomato sauce with molten cheese. Will come back and give them another change some day.

Went in on a Friday night, the place was packed. They had an alright fish fry my girlfriend got. I had the iron horse burger which was amazing. Their home made chips were really good. The beer was good. They have lots of micro brews on tap. Sushi was pretty good, we got the love of the lake roll. We had a total of 5 tall beers, a sushi roll, Friday fish fry and a burger the bill with out tip was $50.00, which for us is a win. The people were all friendly, we like to sit at the bar. We will def be back.

Casey's is a complete surprise on the inside! It's difficult to know what to expect from an Irish Pub advertising fresh sushi. Been to Casey's many times and have never been disappointed. Staff is great! Food is excellent!! Great beer choices and fun monthly cocktail menu! Perfect local joint!

This place gets more interesting as the years go by. I kept hearing that this place was better now than it was years ago and it's totally true. Years ago this place used to be a run down bar that was so smokey you couldn't walk out without smelling like a fireplace. These days, it pretty much LOOKS the same on the inside, but everything else is different. They have a HUGE beer menu (including Michigan beers and an entire Asian alcohol menu) and, as others have mentioned....a sushi bar?! I tell people that this is the type of sushi bar I'd expect to find if I went to Japan. The reason is because it's not over-themed and overly shiny. It's simple stainless steel with real sushi chefs behind the glass. I'm no sushi expert, for sure, but the rolls here were better than any I've had at actual local sushi bars. Better presentation, more flavor, and (for the spicy rolls) more spicy! You pay a little more than other places, but IMO, it's worth the extra dollar per roll. Pair this good food, huge beer menu with a local bar flavor (live trivia, karaoke, sports on the tvs, keno, and more) and in my opinion you have a winner. It's so close they can expect to see me much more often.

We went to Casey's on a Monday night. There were 4 tables in the whole place & it took 15 minutes for a server to greet us. We ordered drinks my friends wine glass had lipstick all over it. When she pointed it out to the sever she rolled her eyes at her grabbed the glass and walked away. Another 10 minutes went by before she came back with a new glass of wine. We finally ordered our meals. We asked our server what she recommended because this was our first time dinning there. She said everything was good and just order. My friend ordered sushi & I ordered a burger medium. It took a long time for the food, my burger came out very well done it wasn't even edible it was so burnt. The sushi was rolled sloppy and didn't smell good. After waiting 20 more minutes for my burger it was still well done. We have now been here for an hour and I still haven't had any food. I told our server to cancel my burger my friend didn't eat her sushi. I ask to speak to a manager, she told me the owner wasn't there. We paid for our drinks and left hungry and mad. I will never go back disgusting food and horrible service not a good combination.

What an interesting place! It's a dive bar with a full eastern (Japanese) menu to complement it's full dive bar menu. Service is spotty but always friendly and the large patio area is a nice place to spend a summer night with a few friends.

Let me BE CLEAR, since I did not actually EAT there I cannot honestly write a good review. However 1 star is about all I can give for the lousy service. Went in for early lunch. Sat down. did not see a waiter anywhere, I can only assume they were just setting up. Saw some other people wandering, One other table was occupied by another couple. Waited 5 minutes before some random person in an apron came up to my table, without saying a word, and put an ice water on my table and walked away. I looked around the restaurant. Looked at my watch. Stared at the tables. Stared at the floor. took my jacket off and got up to goto the bathroom. Went to the bathroom, it stank in there - like old pee. Thoroughly washed my hands and went back to my table. Still nothing for another 5 minutes, by then another few people were milling about... 15mins With No service thats my time limit. Put my jacket on and got up and left. Drove across the street to my favorite eatery where I know even though its slow I can get service.

So.. it is your typical American bar/grill restaurant with a small twist... keep reading.. Upon arriving to Casey's you would think it is just your typical bar and grill and your typical burger and fries joint.. but wait! there is more! Before entering (from the backdoor) I saw Japanese advertising newspaper, which is weird since you usually don't see those unless is a location that generate alot of Japanese traffic. Wait for it.... wait for it... wait for it.... I found a SUSHI BAR.. yes.. SUSHI BAR!!!!! HAHAHA. I was shocked but yet excited since it is pretty close to my work place. I have yet to try their regular grill menu, but all I had was Japanese food. They have your typical Americanize rolls, Teriyaki and noodle dishes. They also have lunch specials, which is display close to the window. The sushi chief was from another restaurant (from what I recall) that recently closed. The waitresses was very knowledgeable about Japanese menu and what comes with it, which I didn't expect it from a bar and grill. Just have to try it. It is a bit of a culture shock feeling when I first walked in but in a very good way. This is a perfect place to bring my Japanese customers at night because they can enjoy the "American style" bar scene with the wood floor and cute waitresses for eye candy hehe . But at the same time dine on what they are used to. Win win for this bar.. for real! Today I saw a party eating burger and sushi all on the same table. Now tell me where you can do that with the exception of the mall cafeteria?? huh! The bottom line is, I love the idea and enjoy the relax atmosphere compare to traditional Japanese restaurants. Try it out guys! is pretty awesome feeling!

Come for the overpriced beer, stay for the food poisoning! We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, which had puddles of grease floating in it. We were starving, so we ate it anyway. OOPS! There went the weekend :( At least it was a weight-loss aid. Our server was always missing. It was difficult to ask for things when she did reappear, since she had disgruntled customers at each of her tables trying to pay their check, get refills, order dinner, etc. One older couple was screaming at another server asking if ours had died. Funny! I received the pitcher of beer I ordered (Miller Lite), but when the check came I had been charged for Labatt (which cost almost $2 more). Since the price of a pitcher was already outrageous at $12, this was kind of a shock. Once I had been given the check, the server was gone again, so I could not bring up the issue with her. I rectified the situation myself by taking the overcharge out of her tip. (I am a serial overtipper, I never do this, but I was so mad at that point, plus my stomach was starting to gurgle from the aforementioned dip.) Last but not least, I must mention that all of the ladies' toilets were clogged for the duration of the evening. People kept mentioning it to the staff, but nothing was ever done about it. Overall, one of the worst Friday nights I have had in awhile. Thanks, Casey's!

not a bad place, they close too early, but the sushi is great here, some of the best ive had in michigan. beer selection is great. staff is a little bit green some of them you can tell are new, but other than that karaoke is great there and they always have the sound on for the big games!
(3)Laura N.
An Irish bar with bad sushi and Mexican food. And no Irish beer. Need I say more? I gave it 3 stars only because they have good TV's and a good atmosphere.
(3)Kristen C.
Wow, this place is seriously awesome. Sean and I came here for trivia on Thursday night and had a blast. When we first came in around 7:30, the place was pretty busy but we were greeted right away by one of the servers who invited us to sit anywhere. Looking around at everyone's food when I passed, everything looked so good and there was such a variety! People had everything from sushi to pizza and burgers. Thursday is their Mexican night, so they were serving huge plates of nachos, burritos, and a Mexican mac n cheese which Sean tried. It was a bit on the oniony side for me, but he seemed to like it. I tried a couple of their small sushi rolls which were very good. I love Mexican food, so the choice wasn't easy but I really enjoyed their vegetable roll the most. It simply has tempura sweet potato and avocado, and it is delightful! I was in the mood for a draft beer, but there weren't any drafts on special, only bottles. I ended up spending quite a bit on the beer, but I had fun so I can't really complain. If I lived closer to this gem I would come here all the time.
(4)Michelle W.
Ick, stay away from this place. If you're not a smoker, you will be once you walk in the door. It smells & the servers tend to ignore you when you walk in (unless you are what appears to be regulars). They close at weird times, I remember stopping in for a beer around 930 & they were closing. Their hours seem to be whatever is best for the staff. Never had good enough service or hours for me to actually consume anything here. After 3 strikes, I stopped trying...there are plenty of other nicer bars in the area.
(1)K. S.
Great sushi. Try the "shanken roll" or the "love on the lake roll". Yummy!!!
(5)Dan A.
Nice atmosphere. average prices for food and alcohol. service is slow. i had to finally go up to the bar and place my order thereafter waiting almost ten mins. bar was about half full. unfortunately on Saturdays nights while they have karoeke, there is a big screen tv behind the singers. it's do bright and distracting if your sitting anywhere other than directly in front, one can't see the singers or the song lyrics on the monitor adjacent to the large tv. I understand they call themselves a "sports bar" and that generally has multiple television sets on. but it's usually just a non sporting event there showing along with the commercials. at least this one big screen should be turned off. I don't need to see Saturday night live without the sound when I'm at a establishment. I asked the manager nicely about turning it off, and she blew me off by saying rather confronting, "it's a sports bar, what do you expect". oops, wrong thing to say. would we go back? no, to many other establishments in this area with this type of atmosphere. bathrooms were very dirty.
(2)Rick W.
It's may be an Irish bar but you have to try the Sushi.
(4)Jeannette M.
Just don't eat here. The food basically sucks.

So I have lived near Casey's for nearly 4 years now and have always wondered about it when I drive past. Well last night the wife and I decided to go in and check it out. We knew there was a Japanese sushi place next door, (or so it would appear from the outside) but when we walked in and sat we realized it was part of the bar! Outstanding, and strange, I thought. I immediately reached for the beer menu and was shocked. They have like 15 Michigan micro brews on tap! Things like double hearted, final absolution, oberon, and many selections from Michigan Brewing Co. Here's the best part, this was a Wednesday, so the special was $2 micro brews or $1 domestic garbage like miller. I order my beer and start flipping through the food menu. I couldn't decide between the fish & chips and the iron horse burger (1/2 lbs, aged cheddar, bbq sauce, applewood bacon). I know they have all you can eat Friday night fish fry so I decided to go with the fish so i could sample what I could be in for this Friday. My wife ordered the ultimate mac & cheese. Let me break in my story here to mention that there is a sushi place at 9 mile & Woodward that has these tempura fried california rolls that are the greatest things I've ever tasted. So, when we saw these same things on the sushi menu at Casey's for $6, exactly half of the place on Woodward charges, we HAD to try them. Ok, so the run down on the food. My fish & chips were awesome! Unlike other places around here, like ones that are on Walled Lake near the public beach that "pride" themselves on their fish & chips but serve them in a puddle of grease, these were perfectly drained, crisp, firm, delicious. My wife didn't care for her mac n cheese but in Casey's defense, she doesn't eat bacon and ordered it without. It was ok though, you know why? Those tempura california rolls were seriously the best tasting sushi roll I have ever tasted in my life! Seriously, half the price of the other place and double the deliciousness. They were so terrific we ordered another order of them. I'm about to used a played out ad campaign but only because it works so well here. Microbrew on Wednesday, $2. Fish & Chips, $11. Finding out that a local Irish bar and grill is the best sushi place around.... you know how this ends. As far as the service goes, remarkable. Our waitress was very attentive, knew the menu very well, and actually told us to come back on Friday because that's when she works. You know what? I will! As for the smoke, to be polite, it's a bar. I smelled smoke, heard F bombs every 10 seconds, saw scantily clad young women prancing around; but you know what? It's a bar, and it's exactly what I expect, not for the whole world to change for me. No one is THAT important. Come for the food, especially the sushi, sports on the TV's, the scantily clad women...wait what? Yeah anyways, this place is awesome, and probably my new dive.
